About me
Meghan Raftery is an Education Designer at Education Design Lab, where she supports strategy and implementation for next-generation skills validation and visibility. With deep expertise in project management, stakeholder co-design, adult learning, and durable skills frameworks, Meghan facilitates the improvement and expansion of Lab tools and services that help education and workforce systems authentically recognize what people can do. At the Lab, she plays a central role in advancing skills visibility and in growing the Skills Validation Network, a national community dedicated to trustworthy, transparent credentialing and learner mobility.
Before joining the Lab, Meghan worked as a freelance educator and facilitator specializing in authentic learning design, performance assessment, innovation strategy, and community engagement. She has led professional development for educators and institutions in more than 40 states, centering human-centered design and practical, equity-minded solutions. Meghan is passionate about bridging big ideas, like scalable badge ecosystems and equitable skills recognition, with operational realities that benefit learners, employers, and ecosystem partners alike.
